Touring Holiday

5th July - 19th July 2016

115 miles and 20,400 feet of ascent

A desire to visit the Cheddar Gorge was the inspiration for this holiday. With such a long journey to the Gorge I decided to visit other places on the way there and on the way back. Eventually the route decided on included Great Malvern, Bristol (Clifton Suspension Bridge), Cheddar Gorge, Brecon Beacons, Church Stretton and Ironbridge. Marie and Sheila expressed an interest in accompanying me and so the planning started.

The total journey was approximately 830 miles and the accommodation varied from very pleasant to rather tired. The weather was very kind with only a little rain.

Below are records of the places we visited and the walks we completed on our journey.
